Like ReplyOne, RenPy is a great engine and I vastly prefer it to HTML games, both from the perspective of controls, and possible scope. And two, when it comes to the character models, I kinda feel like it's a style. A LOT of 3D porn looks like this game, if not WORSE. If you want an example of an RenPy game that looks great, look at Rogue-Like: Evolution. Though that's kinda cheating since it's 2D...but still. I love that game.

Graphics can be anything from world class to complete shit, it depends on the skill of the modeler and the time, effort (and possibly third-party assets) he invests.
