Like ReplyIF YOURE GOING TO DO A FUCKING BULLET HELL SECTION BY ALL MEANS DONT DO IT IN FUCKING GAMEMAKER THIS FUCKING PMD ASS MOVEMENT SYSTEM IS GIVING ME A BRAIN ANEURISM
Like ReplyBad End 11 softlocks the game when viewed from the gallery (fails to transition back to gallery room). Otherwise, the game has plenty of potential, but not without issue. For how frequent the bad ends are, the game doesnt quite telegraph just how often the player should save, and that issue goes from minor to major with sequences like escaping the first illusion, where auto reloads the start of the illusion, not your farthest point.
Like ReplyThat first illusion might just be the exemplar of all the issues currently. One of the 2 secrets hidden within is a forced damage, which is not at all fair to the player, and the end is quite a difficulty spike for a dungeon you have otherwise been able to take your time in with multiple lives boiled down to all or nothing just for the chase.
Like ReplyThen the chase itself doesnt need moving lights when you have a fail state chasing you, and it only makes the section feel unfair with how little time you have to sync up cycles. Then before the illusion even starts, the game does a horrible job telegraphing the "correct" choice, which cant be fixed without reloading before and going through the illusion all over again.
Like ReplyFinally, that one secret you can keep in the illusion better not be important, as players can simply accidentally choose the correct path or reload to skip the illusion in its entirety with information "found" after the fact.
Like ReplyShort version of my complaints so far? Lack of player info, both mechanically (side quests could be better marked and logged) and narratively. Autosave only goes so far to alleviating issues with the overabundance of gameovers, and there are other ways you could narratively or mechanically let players continue without a gameover, especially with magic already involved.
Like ReplySorry Mr.Dev but until you implement a save to system feature.. It's a waste of time, all saves are deleted upon any updates to the sites all progress is lost. The art is decent and the story could be believed as a story in a game.
