Like ReplyJerkfree, i dont think you played the other installments of this game before. The game acknoweledges the hints in a specific way, you can play with them for a straight gam run or without them for a more free route (there are many ways to find). i personally play without them only checking them if im really stuck or if its the ende of the Episode. For the repeating steps, every step changes something, either the willingness to go further or give you some hints on the progress.
Like ReplyCPT-Graubart, i.e. if you first touch her p* she hates it, but with every try she gets more used to it. Same was before with kisses or her Butt. Like i said, the game doesnt give you much because it wants you to experience it yourself and not rely on hints (thats why they are HINTS not Tasks/Steps)

Like ReplyJerkfree, this is how the other games like this work. This is the 5th installment of this game series. The hints do not always fully tell you everything there are some things that do connect that do not always explain in some of them. But episode 1 was straight forward with the hints. I found one thing not mentioned in the hints in episode 2
